Section 18A Tax Benefits
Donations made through The Charity Project qualify for a Section 18A tax certificate. This certificate may allow you to claim a tax deduction when submitting your annual tax return, potentially reducing your taxable income and lowering the amount of tax you pay. While the exact benefit depends on your individual circumstances and tax bracket, Section 18A provides an additional financial incentive to support causes that matter to you.
You Choose Where Your Money Goes
One of the unique features of The Charity Project is that participants have a say in where their donations are directed. When joining the programme, employees can nominate the charity or cause they would like to support from our approved partner network. This means your contribution is not only helping people in need, but also supporting causes that are personally meaningful to you.

Giving back should be rewarding. In addition to the satisfaction of making a difference, participants may qualify for monthly promotional draws and incentives offered through The Charity Project. Prizes may include travel experiences, technology products, accommodation vouchers, and other exciting rewards. All promotions are conducted in accordance with applicable laws and regulations and are designed to encourage greater participation in charitable giving.
How The Programme Works
Getting started is simple. Employees receive an invitation from their employer and complete a short online registration form. During registration, participants choose how much they would like to contribute each month and select their preferred charity or cause.
Once registered, they are automatically entered into the monthly promotional draw. Thereafter, every additional R100 contributed through the programme earns an additional entry into that month’s draw. Contributions are deducted directly through payroll, making participation effortless while ensuring ongoing support for the causes that matter most.
